| The Arabia CSR Awards 2016 |

Launched in 2008 by the Arabia CSR Network, The Arabia CSR Awards is running its 9th Cycle held under the auspices of the League of Arab States & strategic collaboration of UNEP. The awards is a home grown product of the MENA region that offers an occasion to celebrate the achievements of the Public & Private companies in enhancing their sustainability performance to become stronger socially responsible corporate citizens. It also aims to encourage all the organizations within the Arab World to step up their efforts in CSR and create a more positive impact on the society.
The Network has processed more than 881 applications from 718 participating organizations of 26 sectors from 13 Arab countries & this is an indicator to the wide spread of the Arabia CSR Awards within the Region. The award comes in nine categories, offering ample scope to companies to become one of the shortlisted champions - Large, Medium or Small Sized Enterprises, Public Sector Organizations/Departments, New Businesses, Partnerships & Collaborations, Energy, Financial Services, Social Enterprise. Some of the winners from the previous years across the region come from various industries, categories and sectors like GPIC - Bahrain, Al Futaim Carillion, Emirates NBD, Procter & Gamble - UAE, Gulf Drilling International, RasGas – Qatar, BMCE Bank – Morocco, Arab Bank- Jordan, ABB LLC – Oman, amongst many more. The award applications are assessed by an external independent panel of Jury members that have proven expertise in CSR & Sustainability who provide highly beneficial input to the applicants through a structured feedback process.
The Awards is a highly run after accolade for companies in the Region as it is seen as the most important recognition tool for CSR in the MENA region. Every year hundreds of companies vie with each other to win this coveted award.
